Life in the Word

John begins his gospel with the good news that Jesus, the Word, has entered into humanity and dwelled among us. But why is this good news? Because although you and I dwell in darkness, the light of the world has come as life to all men. He shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome Him.
